For those of you who don't know me, I am Judy. Francine's niece. Jamie, Laurie, and Susan's cousin. We were cousins, but what was even better we were friends and Jamie and I were best friends. Distance did not come between us. I grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jamie grew up in NYC. I dreamed about her life, she dreamed about mine. Every Christmas and every summer we were inseparable. The beaches in Puerto Rico were where we spent our childhood- sailing, swimming, snorkeling, tanning and surfing. Jamie was beautiful; blond curly hair, tan and a beautiful body. But there was more, her talent and creativity. Jamie's very first sculpture was not made from rock. She was 15 years old. It was the most creative, colorful, impressive form of wax…her candle. You couldn't help but sit and stare in awe of how she created something so wonderful from a box of wax. It was magical. That was Jamie; always creating always designing. We kept secrets and shared dreams and the one dream we both shared was to be Mothers. Nobody loved babies like Jamie . We grew up and our dreams finally came true. We were both mothers. Johnny was her everything and she was the perfect mom. Johnny fulfilled her life, and even though it was short, it was complete.
I love you Jamie.
Rest in peace.
